Genesis 13
13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
All of the pages linked to from here (see links below or click to jump to links) in the "Seeming Biblical Contradictions" series are all under construction on my workstation. They have been uploaded to the site in their rough draft form to assure that I have resolved all interpage links and properly dereferenced them in a live environment. I apologize in advance for any confusion this may cause, but it is necessary to test web pages; hopefully, even in their original context, they might benefit some people.
It has bothered me for many years that wolves in sheep's clothing are tirelessly trying to destroy the faith that babes in Christ almost always have in their Bible. If you are reading these words as a new Christian, do not let vain, self-conceited "Brethren" deter you from reading your Blessed King James Bible. The rest are inferior and sprinkled with poison; but more on that in another series.
In the meantime, if you want the definitive work on the subject of corrupt new versions, it is in the often plagiarized work
"New Age Bible Versions" by Gail Riplinger. The text
of "Bible" is slightly smaller in the title on the cover of my copy as it is shown here and the
author's name on the back and inside the cover is spelled G.A. RIPLINGER. I have seen stolen quotations from her book that range from
the subtle to the shameless; that probably should tell you something.
The ISBN number is: 0-9635845-0-2
I have accumulated quite a library of such works which I sometimes re-read and often just use as a reference.
We Bible Believers comprise a much larger crowd than you might think if you are a new Christian. My hope
is to encourage and absolutely convince new Christians that God has kept His Promise to preserve His Words.
Get yourself a King James Version based on the Authorized Version of 1611 (as opposed to anything else).
I personally use the Cambridge edition and have worn a few of them out. If you can't afford the Cambridge
get yourself a less expensive edition. I had a giant print KJV Bible I bought from T.G.&Y. years ago for less than $10 that
I enjoyed for a long time. If your vision is less than perfect, look for a Giant Print edition; you can study more.
I do not intend to spend a lot of time wrestling with seeming contradictions, especially where it involves genealogies. I have read some lengthy discourses on whether there were 66, 70 or 75 souls of Jacob's family who went into Egypt to meet with Joseph. At some point, Faith must prevail. May I recommend to you that you take the same path.
After all, when you were saved you received the witness of the Spirit that you were irrevocably changed.
You did not need endless logical arguments to convince you.
Psalm 119:89
LAMED
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
The same witness of the Spirit will testify to the Preservation of the Scriptures.

Psalm 12
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Notice verse 7; Thou shalt keep them O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The keeper is the LORD and the promise is to preserve them from "this generation for ever".
Now this brings up two questions: first, is the LORD so impotent that he cannot keep his own word? Secondly, how long is for ever? So it really comes down to do you believe this Scripture or not?
Jeremiah 26
2 Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD'S house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD'S house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
3 If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
