Psalm 12
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
II Peter 1
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Jeremiah 8
9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
If you haven't figured it out, I am doing this site to reverse the work of the heretic's who are trying to rob Bible Believers of their Bible. There seems to be no limit to what they are presumptuously doing to the Word of God.
If not for that fact, I would never have started this work. Do I consider myself a Bible scholar? God Forbid! I am a Bible Believer, and herein do I exercise myself to restore what they have stolen.
Jeremiah
Chapter 23
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
This page is not fancy; it is documentation of the changes in progress on this site and the reason these changes are being implemented. At the present time the biggest change has been my attempt to restore the paragraph markers which seem to have been systematically removed over a long period of time. Note please that I am not inserting any paragraph marker which was not previously there. The AV 1611 I hold to be the preserved Word of God, the preservation of which has been overseen by the guiding hand of the Lord. For anyone interested, here is the story of what led me to this action.
Over the years, I have purchased many KJV AV 1611 Bibles from various vendors. It wasn't until I purchased one
Revelation 22
17 ¶ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 ¶ For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
with all ¶ paragraph markers removed that I finally woke up to what was happening. I bought a KJV
Bible where all ¶ markers had been removed and the verse numbers where the paragraph markers
used to be were in bold text (from the publishers note). Now I keep abreast of these things and happily we have
been blessed (tongue in cheek) with a "Bible" written like a "book" with verse numbers and chapter
numbers removed. An amazing system of chapter & verse numbering
which embodies advance revelations, revealed by careful study of Biblical numerology, gone without
a trace.
Now who do you suppose would inspire the "Bible butchers" to do such a thing (think Yea, hath God said...). It took some time to research this: I compared 3 immediate predecessors of the AV1611, i.e. Wycliffe 1395, Tyndale 1525, the Geneva Bible 1599 (which John Bunyan, the author of "Pilgrims Progress" used). These Bibles are not available to the general public and sometimes must be examined as scanned images, though I have obtained some facsimiles of early Bibles.
It was difficult for me. I am (definitely & thankfully) NOT a scholar. I am a self professed "Bible Believer" and saved sinner. Nothing else. My research has revealed 3,087 ¶ markers have been removed. I replaced them in the online Bible here on kjvman.org and the ones in my KJV database. It seems to me that anyone who would remove 3,087 characters is probably not qualified as one who "trembleth at the LORD's Word" (Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.).
As a sidebar, you probably should not search for "Authorized Version" either, instead search for "AV 1611" or "AV1611" or "Authorized Version of 1611", etc. Why? Because there is a piece of garbage known as the AV7 (New Authorized Version or 3rd Millenium Bible, and so forth). I have obtained one, examined it and it is most definitely not even similar to the real authorized version. It is described as the authorized version "in modern language". Is there an echo out there? Where have I heard such things before?
For the record I contacted the publisher and suggested that they were being dishonest in representing their product as "the authorized version" and new Christians could be deceived by this play on words to hawk their cookie cutter perversion. In reply, I received one of the longest emails I ever got in my life; I read it. They sure went to a lot of trouble to defend their actions for someone who is not trying to deceive. @nuffsaid
Upon my graduation from High School I was presented with a KJV Bible by a neighbor who was a dear saint of God. I carried this little zippered Bible with me in my duffel bag during my years in the military. I took for granted the paragraph markers beyond the passage in Acts 20:36, present in the books all the way to the end in the book of Revelation.
Some time later I purchased a large KJV red letter edition giant print Bible in a "TG&Y" store. Again I paid little attention to the paragraph markers present from Acts 20:36 to the end. Eventually I purchased a Cambridge edition (OLD Cambridge edition) KJV and some Hendrickson KJV Bibles for my daughters. It was my 10 year old daughter who noticed that my Bible did not have a paragraph marker in Revelation where her Bible did during our nightly family Bible studies (out of the mouth of babes). The hunt was on; I had to know what had happened.
In the late 1990's I typed in the KJV Bible into a text file which I later converted to an .rtf file for each of the 66 books of the Bible. I used the same text file to create a derby database and exported this into oracle, mysql and postgres. A search of the databases showed the paragraph markers missing beyond Acts 20:36. I had used the Cambridge to type in the text.
It is still a wonder to me how I could have been so blind as not to notice that the paragraph markers had been removed. The only thing I can say in my defense is that I had not yet been led of the Spirit to notice that the paragraph markers were not just marking a change of subject. There is a lot of hidden information regarding rightly dividing the Word of Truth (II Timothy 2:15). If one studies the 7 milleniums in Scripture, you will notice that paragraph markers often delineate specific ages in the Bible. For example, they occur on verse numbers 4, 2, 6, and 7. There are 4,000 years of human history narrated in the Old Testament (as well as 4 watches of the night) followed by approximately 2,000 years of New Testament history of the church age. We are rapidly approaching the Rapture and the great tribulation which will end with the 2nd Advent and 1,000 years of peace on earth when the lion eats straw like a bullock, the cow and the bear feed together, the wolf and the lamb feed together, dust shall be the serpents meat, wars will end and Jesus Christ will rule the world from a throne in Jerusalem.
A careful student of Scripture will note some paragraph markers on verse 4 (end of the 4,000 years of Old Testament), verse 2 (beginning the 2,000 years of the age of Grace, the church age), verse 6 (the end of the church age) and verse 7 (the beginning of the 1,000 year Millenial reign of Jesus Christ). Is this pattern on ALL verses? No, of course not; but it is on enough of them that this built in teaching aid is clearly discernible to a Bible Believer (as opposed to a Bible corrector afflicted with the spirit of deep sleep described in Isaiah 29. II Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Now this subject is a lengthy Bible study in itself, which is beyond the scope of this errata document. For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear the Words of God, the evidence of this built in teaching aid are evident.
What I have done is to search physical book stores over the years as well as the amazon market place for older versions of the KJV. As much as is possible I have also compared selected readings in the KJV 4th edition with earlier editions and the Tyndale and Wycliffe Bibles. In these earlier centuries the paragraph marker was referred to as a "pilcrow" and the facsimiles of the Tyndale and Wycliffe are page images of the actual Bibles. The Tyndale and the Wycliffe cannot be matched verse by verse to the AV 1611, but nevertheless, it is very apparent the paragraph markers are present beyond the aforementioned verse in Acts 20.
In the older KJV Bibles which I have obtained, Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.the paragraph markers beyond Acts 20 are consistent and present. In all fairness, there are a few older Bibles I scrounged from used book stores and garage sales that are missing the markers but the majority of the pre-1970 vintage Bibles have them. There are 181 paragraph markers missing beyond Acts 20:36 to the end of Scripture in Revelation. Who removed them and why? Maybe I will never know the answer, but I have replaced them for the benefit of those who love God's Word. Some modern printers have removed all the paragraph markers and made the verse number where they removed them bold text.
The next logical step was to remove the verse numbers too, thus erasing the inspired, built in teaching aids present in a real Bible. Should we really be surprised at this in a society where the (so called) "Readers Bibles" have now removed all chapter and verse numbers. After all they have to make their abomination more palatable to modern man. As for me, I think I can struggle along without their products.
I think I have found all of the paragraph markers which were removed by the Bible correctors. After editing my database and the html Bible pages separately to reinsert the stolen paragraph markers I have arrived at an exact count of 3,087 paragraph markers in each.
I have done my very best to restore what "Holy men of God spake as they
were moved by the Holy Ghost" to match the oldest AV 1611 Bibles I could find.
Here is my disclaimer:
I pray I got it right; any deviation from the original KJV Scriptures is not intentional.
I will end this section with a question: Does this flippant editorial work, just chopping out anything and everything to make their "Bibles" more "readable" sound like the work of men who tremble at God's Word? What can the problem be if not apostasy? Carelessness? Incompetence? Deliberate maliciousness? For any possible alibi, these actions are Satanic and inexcusable. If you do not love God's Word, read whatever you want; but for the sake of the simple folks, like myself, leave the Bible alone.
Psalm 119 consists of 22 sections containing 8 (eight) verses each for a total of 176 verses. King David is the author and he labeled each of the 22 sections with a letter from the 22 characters in the Hebrew alphabet.
Since there are many computers of various kinds accessing the internet many of which do not have the Hebrew alphabet installed (making it impossible to display Hebrew characters), I am creating 22 images, each image containing one letter of the Hebrew alphabet and it's corresponding phonetic name, which will be inserted at the head of the corresponding 8 verse section.
Currently, the name of the section by Hebrew letter mnemonic (phonetic) precedes the text of the 1st verse of each section; this is done. By using the image approach the header will display like a column in a Bible and the presentation of Psalm 119 (in English) will be device/locale independent with the exception of text browsers such as lynx which do not display images; text browsers will see only the mnemonic/phonetic representation of the Hebrew letter.
The actual verification links work and the page is submitted and verified. Note that the image at the top right will say "CSS Level2" but the css will validate to level 3 + svg (scaled vector graphics). The image itself has no effect on functionality, but for the sake of completeness I will change it when time permits. This verification is only for your convenience to eliminate any doubt as to the coding of the pages if you are experiencing any difficulty with proper display.
The change implemented was essentially compliance with the requirement for the links to connect to secure web pages for the verification process. Most web sites are making this change and kjvman is no exception. I have switched the site to secure pages also.
The pages are being converted, & uploaded one at a time and checked for 100% compliance. This should not affect your browsing experience at all. Just keeping abreast of things without being on the "bleeding edge". If you see the "HTML 4.01 Image" at the top left of a page, that page has been updated and checked.
There is lot that goes into this project; first of all not all diacritical marks have been defined yet and though most of those that are defined enjoy almost universal support, there are some browsers which do not display correctly. Usually the markings which do not display correctly will insert a small rectangular box with the suggested hex number when the standard is adopted. Fortunately, most mainstream browsers correctly render the markings. This project is a time consuming work; I add some words every week but I have no idea how long it will take. I am convinced this project has value; I have learned since I started it there are some words I have been mispronouncing for years. There are a few nouns for which diacritical marks are not available, but these are usually simple one syllable words.
The common practice of using noticeably longer dashes to divide compound words is observed; the shorter dashes divide words into syllables. In compound words each word will have an accent. The vowels will have a breve for short sounds and a macron for long sounds; no surprises there. When time permits, I will add a page of pronunciation keys with example sounds. The status of this project is ongoing as of 09/27/2025.
The circumflex spanning 2 characters is fairly new and tends to be a little long tying 2 lowercase letters no matter what font is being rendered; this will probably be worked out by the font designers.
Note that this project is likely to take several months, because dates of writing and book authors can be a challenging research project in itself. Adding headers with statistics: Included will be the Date of Writing as far as this can be ascertained, the Author when known and a count of Chapters, Verses, Words (Useful for Bible Study). NOTE: This book header project is being implemented concurrently with the cross reference links project below.
Note that this project is likely to take 2 years or more. The cross reference navigation is being implemented as collapsible menus in the left and right columns, and by default the menus are usually opened when the book of the Bible is loaded. Title elements, when extant show additional information when you "hover" the mouse pointer over the associated element. After the menus are done, it is possible I will begin implementing clickable, reciprocal verse cross references chained to illustrate vital doctrines.
II Peter 1
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
II Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
