Proverbs 3

13 ¶ Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

II Timothy 2

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Bible is the Word of God

We live in a day and age when nothing is sacred to the world in general. It is not fashionable to take a stand for or against anything simply because "the Bible says so." John 5:39

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Do you dare to be different? You can be a light shining in the world. You can be part of the problem or part of the cure. For just a moment, take a deep breath and cleanse your mind.

Now turn your thoughts to something profound, and that is the fact that there is a book which you can take in your hands and read which is the Word of the Living and Almighty God, the creator of the universe and the one who gives you life and breath and being.

How could such a book exist? Not by any accident of fate. Consider that the LORD promised to preserve his words from "this generation for ever". There are really only 2 questions to ask yourself: How long is for ever and do you believe the promise?

Psalm 12 - 6

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

There is a down side to all this. If you haven't noticed, it isn't fashionable to believe the Bible now. That, of course is just one more prophecy fulfilled.

Jeremiah 8:8-9

8 How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?

Your existence is not a cosmic accident; you are here for a reason. God wants to be at the center of your life, whatever state your life is in right now. You don't have to face it alone.

There are treasures beyond belief hidden in the pages of the Bible which most people will never see because they will never look. The answer to all of life's questions are contained in one book. Sometimes you may not like the answer, but the best answer is there. What you gain from reading the Bible starts and ends with an attitude; approach it as the living word of the living God and you will find a wellspring of life which never runs dry.

Consider these words describing the Berean Synagogue of the Jews: "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Acts 17:11

There is really only one guiding principle that will assure that you always arrive at the truth and that is a question which only you know the answer to. What is your final authority in life? If you will honor the Bible as the inspired Word of God in your attitudes and actions the Lord will open your eyes to many things which you will otherwise never see.

I urge you to read the word of God with reverence; as the man after Gods own heart once said, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105

If Jesus Christ is the foundation of your life and HIS WORD is your final authority in every situation, you can "ask what you will and it shall be done unto you". If, however, you treat the LORD like a fairweather friend and cast his words behind your back when HIS presence is not convenient then you are a double minded Christian and let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord.

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord is laid for your faith in HIS excellent WORD! What more can HE say than to you HE has said. If you happen to be neglecting God's Word right now, remember the words of Jesus in John 21:12 "Come and dine".

John 14:5-6 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

If you are looking for truth you can find it here. I can boldly assert that because the focus of this site is the Bible and the Bible is always right! Jesus told the Pharisees to "Search the Scriptures"; it isn't about me. What will you do then with Jesus which is called Christ?
