It is an interesting phenomena that there is not one word in the Holy Bible that starts with the letter "x", upper or lower case. So called Bible versions based on Westcort & Horts Greek text as well as other corrupt texts change the name Artaxerxces to Xerxces which breaks this remarkable "coincidence". The KJV of 1611 is God's Book preserved in exactly the form we should have it; it behooves anyone to simply read it and believe it. The "Bible scholars" will give an account for their unGodly actions to the LORD; do not be among them.
Jeremiah 8
9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
Isaiah 29
9 ¶ Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
13 ¶ Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
Luke 10
21 ¶ In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father,
Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent,
and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
NOTE: This is the only verse in Scripture where it says "Jesus rejoiced..."
Isaiah 66
5 ¶ Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
Matthew 12
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Philippians 2
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Psalm 138
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Leviticus 10
10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;
Revelation 22
16 ¶ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 ¶ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 ¶ For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 ¶ He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 ¶ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Coming soon: A Bible study on words that end in "x" (as well as those that begin with "x or X"). Note that none of the words beginning with "x or X" are in the Scriptures. There are 1326 verses in Scripture containing "x" (Interestingly enough 13 and 2 times 13). It seems not many people have noticed the informative nature of this marvel.
Book 24 Jeremiah 26:2 Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD'S house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD'S house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
My only comment is: Nor change the spelling of a single word to give us "a better rendering".
Book 40 Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
You might think or "jots and tittles" as similar to punctuation such as comma's, semi-colons, colons etc.
NOTE: Underlining for emphasis is mine.
